This is a great time to join the team as we don’t require years of experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is willing to get stuck in and learn new things. All we ask is that you’ve done some level of software development in, or out of work.
We are currently pushing towards working more with Sensu monitoring, Grafana and Ansible, and would love our new team member to build their skills in these areas.
The team have recently implemented a bespoke framework for generating reports on our portfolio of games which generated more than £6.9billion last year - that’s a lot of reporting to do! They have also developed a discovery tool that draws a network map to pinpoint every device that is plugged in to our systems.

Camelot’s Infrastructure team is headed up by the same management that delivered the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and managed IT services of London transport over the last few years. In addition the Systems Automation Lead has been with Camelot for more than 16 years, so the leadership team in this role come offering a wealth of experience to tap in to of both Camelot systems and the wider industry.
How you'll make a difference
The Infrastructure team provides a technical services centre of excellence for the gaming and business platforms to support the complete installed IT base for both live, production services and the complete project lifecycle. To support the complex, public facing IT infrastructure at Camelot, your role as Junior Developer will deliver automation and monitoring of these services to enable millions of players to enjoy The National Lottery games, across retail and online.
What you'll bring to the table

- Some development experience, in or out of work (e.g. building your own mobile application, or writing your own website backend)
